With a new menu every month, Eggless adds suspense to their delicious desserts. From this month's options, with the help of the lovely waitress (I just couldn't make up my mind with the plentiful delightful desserts on offer), I chose the Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownie with Passionfruit Couli, a "chocolate red velvet cake swirled with vanilla bean cream cheese, accompanied with passonfruit couli & vanilla ice cream". Doesn't the description just make your mouth water with delight? Wait until you see the picture. And it gets better... it TASTED even greater! Digging in my spoon through the icecream, the soft creamy cheese, the red velvet cake, and finishing off with a scoop of the passionfruit couli, my tastebuds were treated to a magical experience of such deliciousness! It was just amazing - I couldn't get enough of it!

John opted for the Crema Catalana, "a Spanish creme brulee with a hint of cinnamon & citrus, topped with a crunchy toffee crust & fresh fig". He probably expected some sort of tasty treat placed in front of him. What he didn't expect was what happened next. All of a sudden, the lights were dimmed. There was a hush in the cafe, and the waitress holding a dessert plate with a lit candle and a chocolate piece with "Happy BDay John" written on it then announced, "We have a special birthday here with us today. It's John's birthday, so let us sing him Happy Birthday!". The entire cafe sung in harmony as John's face turned a cute embarrassed pink colour, and he thanked everyone after it was all finished! Happy birthday John!
| Many thanks to Eggless for being so accommodating and for making a special night even better than planned! |

This one was my friend Jun's dessert. I think I remember tasting it, but am now unable to recall what it tasted like.
Overall, Eggless is truly Adelaide's gem. It's a place I know to take all my interstate friends when they come to visit, because it will surely win them over too!
The staff at Eggless are simply superb all the time. I have never seen employees so cheerful, looking as if they are loving every minute of their job. It makes all the customers feel delight to be there as well! Keep up the great work Eggless!

ReplyDeleteOf course! When any of my best girlfriends come to Adelaide, they're in for a real treat! Be ready to get spoilt to wayyy too much great food and great cafes!
ReplyDelete<3 The red velvet cheesecake! It looks soo yummy!
ReplyDeleteWords cannot describe just how sensational it was in my mouth. I find that Sydney lacks those simple but grand dessert stores. They only really have the bigger franchises like Max Brenners and San Churros.
