About Me

My Photo
Hi, I'm Vivian and I'm a uni student obsessed with fitness and food (I know, it doesn't exactly go hand-in-hand). I'll have my "no eating out" times and my "I deserve to try new food" moments. I'm on a mission to try new places, mainly around the Adelaide CBD, on a student budget. Rarely you'll be seeing expensive, fine dining on my blog, but that's an occasional thing. I have a lot of posts on Sydney restaurants too, because that's where I spend all my holidays. Read on for my pictures and opinions on the food Adelaide has to offer! Got something on your mind? Max Brenner

Guess who just landed in Sydney once again - that's right, yours truly! And you know that means there will be an influx of Sydney Special Edition posts for the next few months! Sorry for the overuse of exclamation marks, I just have a soft spot for Sydney. After all, it is my hometown.

Of course my very first outing would have to consist of chocolate, because I'm probably the biggest chocoholic you'll ever come across.

I was due to hit the gym for a high-intensity one hour session of Body Attack right after, so I wasn't going to have a big meal (because that could have a very nasty ending). So I wanted a drink which will give me energy, but not make me want to spew.

I have to say, Max Brenner for me has a lot of hit and misses. The chocolate pizza they offer is one of the best things my taste buds have ever been treated to. Their drinks are usually... not so much. Until now.

 Cookieshake - $7.60

The Cookieshake is officially the first drink that has won over my tick of approval at Max Brenner. Consisting of "white chocolate, cookies & caramelised pecans", I would like to describe it as the liquid version of cookies and cream ice-cream, but that just wouldn't do it justice. It was so much better. So so much better. It had this amazing hit of perfection, just the right about of sweetness, served in a cup (the "Alice Cup" in fact) which gave a generous amount of this beauty.

Danish Toffee Chocolate - $6.00

My friend Danny had this, a hot chocolate served in the "Hug Mug". It is the cutest mug, fitting snugly in the palms of your hand. I forgot to ask him for his verdict on it, so it remains a mystery... for now.
