About Me

My Photo
Hi, I'm Vivian and I'm a uni student obsessed with fitness and food (I know, it doesn't exactly go hand-in-hand). I'll have my "no eating out" times and my "I deserve to try new food" moments. I'm on a mission to try new places, mainly around the Adelaide CBD, on a student budget. Rarely you'll be seeing expensive, fine dining on my blog, but that's an occasional thing. I have a lot of posts on Sydney restaurants too, because that's where I spend all my holidays. Read on for my pictures and opinions on the food Adelaide has to offer! Got something on your mind? BTS Cafe

I hope my friends will forgive me for the delay in blogging. I've been caught up with a couple of things, but now the posts should be rolling in as quickly as possible!

I've wanted to try BTS Cafe for a while now, considering I am a fan of cupcakes (actually, more like all cakes) and BTS Cafe is just down my street. However the only times I've ever had to try out this quaint little cafe were the weekends, and unfortunately BTS Cafe doesn't open then.

Now you may be wondering what BTS actually stands for. I believe it's "Better Than Sex". Choosing my first BTS cupcake, I was tossing up between the peanut butter "Elvis" cupcake or the chocolate "Mr Big" cupcake. Who better to ask than the experienced staff, and so I was pointed towards Elvis.

I wanted to take a photo of the cupcake in full, outside the box, but when I tried to take it out, I unfortunately destroyed the icing so the presentation wasn't suitable for a photo anymore. Speaking of which, the icing was very soft and creamy. It was delightful to eat, but I'd recommend sharing with someone, because anyone who knows me knows that I have the sweetest tooth, and even I couldn't finish this cupcake in one go.

One thing that a lot of customers mention regarding the icing on the cupcakes is how high they are. It looks like a large chunk of icing has overwhelmed the size of the cupcake. However, looks can be deceiving, as in this case where the icing actually cover the border of the cupcake only and the actual cake is not too hidden underneath.

All in all, it was a lovely cupcake, but I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had. I will definitely be returning, but I'm not going to sprint there anytime soon, especially with so many other places to visit first.
